Burma Cycling & Burma Appeal 2026

For the first time, we established direct contact with members of our community in Burma and, through our representatives on the ground, were able to personally distribute donations to eligible recipients.

Witnessing the living conditions faced by many of our community members was truly heartbreaking and highlighted the significant challenges they endure on a daily basis. This experience strengthened our resolve and commitment to providing meaningful support in Burma and inspired us to explore and develop additional projects to assist those most in need.

This year, we raised a total of £9,724 through the Burma Cycling Appeal and Burma Appeal. The funds are being distributed in two phases. The first phase was delivered during Ramadan, while the second phase is scheduled for the monsoon season, when support is often needed most.

A special acknowledgement goes to Ismail Surty and Rabiya Piperdy, the father-and-daughter team who have shown exceptional dedication to this cause. They generously gave their time, effort, and personal resources to travel, engage directly with community members, and ensure that assistance reached those who needed it most. The photographs below are a testament to their commitment and compassion.
